Seishinryu Karatedo was founded by the late Mr.Kazuo Kikuchi,who was called Waken,in 1957 at Minato-ward,Tokyo. Seishinryu instructs not only karate but also Jyo-jyutsu,shuriken,Jyu-jyutsu and so on. Seishinryu is proud of more than 30 dojyos including dojyos in oversea and more than one thousand trainees working hard at their practice. When Mr.Kikuchi was alive, the head dojyo was planed to be in the course of the Hato Bus, which drove around the famous sightseeing points in Tokyo. It had many opportunities to exchage informations with other schools. Students has already counted more than ten thousands. Seishinryu instructs many kiso-kata, basic forms, and make much of basic practice. So it's technical outline is very wide. Seishinryu instruct more than thirty forms, this can be huge fortune for the trainees learning karate. Stream like movement of its tradional forms are characteristic, which is not seen in the other schoos. Seishinryu started the free sparring with black ink on the groves or with groves and protectors. That free sparring can be watched by the video. Recently, every dojyo practices its favorite style sparring in accordance with its competition. Seishinryu Karatedo is the school that every body can learns anything he/she wants to.
